After a steady rain in Donglan county of Hechi, the first bay of the Hongshui River just looks like someone gauzed it into a fairyland.

Originating from Maxiong Mountain of Yunnan province, the Hongshui River winds its way from north to south across Donglan county with a length of 92 kilometers. Surrounded by hills on one side and water on the other, the misty natural landscapes and vertiginous terraces offer an escape from the bustle of urban life.

When flowing through Wenxia Valley at Sanshi town, Donglan county, the river makes a sharp U turn, creating what we could call the first bay of the Hongshui River. Nearby tourists may well feel as if they are in a paradise on earth.
