Donglan county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was recently included in the list of "2015 China top 10 most beautiful rural tourist destinations", the only county selected in Guangxi.

The list was organized by the Global Times, with data from its public opinion investigation center and opinions from experts at home and abroad.

Donglan county has been striving to develop a green ecology and health maintenance tourism industry in recent years. It has been awarded the titles of "China folk bronze drum culture and art county", "China bronze drum folk cultural tourism demonstration area", "China best green ecological county", "China top 10 most beautiful counties" and "Chinese longevity area", highlighting its abundant tourism resources.

Donglan attracted a large number of tourists by vigorously developing rural tourism and improving tourism infrastructure in 2015. The county received more than 1.1 million tourists last year, an increase of 17.94 percent compared with 2014, while tourism revenue was up 22.89 percent to more than 1 billion yuan ($15.3 million).
