Xu Taixue's work chosen for national painting exhibition

A painting of Hechi was chosen for the 2015 “Mount Taishan’s dignity” National Chinese Painting and Oil Painting Exhibition recently.

The traditional Chinese painting was drawn by Xu Taixue, an artist from the Dahua Yao autonomous county.

The exhibition is co-sponsored by Chinese Artists Association and Shandong Provincial Artists Association. After rounds of selections from a total of 3,279 entries, expert judges finally chose out 170 works in traditional Chinese style and 150 oil paintings to be exhibited in the Tai’an Art Gallery in Shandong province on April 26.

Eight works from Guangxi were included in the exhibition and one gained an honorable mention. Xu Taixue’s Far Side of the Hill was the only one chosen from Hechi.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
