Nandan county's mineral resources

Nandan county in Hechi, Guangxi, has abundant mineral resources. Such minerals as silver, copper, iron, tin, molybdenum, lead, zinc, mercury, antimony, aluminum, uranium, bismuth, indium, cadmium, cobalt, arsenic, sulfur, phosphorus, tungsten, coal, fluorite, quartz, barite and limestone mica have been explored.

Nandan has a tin concentrate metal reserve of 1.16 million tons and lead and zinc concentrate metal reserve of 144,319 tons. Its antimony reserve is 100,000 tons, with 64,600 tons of aluminum, 610,000 tons of sulfur, 124,500 tons of copper, 0.56 ton of gold, 41.19 million tons of coal, 0.23 ton of mercury and 200 tons of silver.

The county is honored as a “Hometown of Non-Ferrous Metals”, “Chinese Tin Center” and “Paradise of Mineralogists”.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
