The Tian’e autumn nectarine usually ripens in late September as a new late-maturing species bred from the local wild peach. It is sweet and crisp in taste and rich in nutrition with 15.9 percent soluble solids. There are now 120 hectares, planted in nectarine trees, mainly in the towns of Nawang and Xiangyang, with an annual output of 300,000 kilograms. This fruit is large in size (about 220 grams), with a small seed, good separation of pulp and seed, crispy pulp, and pure flavor. These nectarines got pollution-free agricultural product certification from the Agriculture Ministry, in 2008, and the “excellent single fruit” designation, in 2013.
