(chinadaily.com.cn) 2015-06-30

Fangchenggang Xurisheng 55-megawatt Photovoltaic Power Generation Project was officially launched on the morning of June 26, Fangchenggang Daily reported.

The project is Guangxi's largest ground photovoltaic generation project and helps fill gaps in Fangchenggang's power network.

The project is located at Tanying village in Fangcheng district, with a total area of 2,300 mu (153.33 hectares). With gross investment of 580 million yuan ($93.44 million), it plans to build a 55 megawatt solar photovoltaic grid-connected plant, including equipment such as photovoltaic battery pack, component supports, support drive and control system, combiner box power transformer equipment and booster station.

As the first photovoltaic renewable energy project, the Fangchenggang Xurisheng project has experienced smooth preparations. It signed an agreement of intent with Guangxi Power Grid on Sep 24, 2014, and acquired the Enterprise Invested Project Record Certificate from the Guangxi Development and Reform Commission four days later. The project was added to the major project route map of Fangchenggang's border marine economic belt construction this year.

After completion, the project is expected to produce 60 million Kw/h electric energy per year, with annual sales revenue of 60 million yuan and taxes over 10 million yuan.
