Zhanjiang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall on trial operation
Updated: 2017-12-22
The upgraded Zhanjiang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall commenced its trial operation on December 13, with the city's modern achievements and plans for a high tech future on display.
Visitors are greeted with a historical walkway upon entering the exhibition hall, as the walls on both sides are decorated with essays and pictures telling the story of Zhanjiang's early development. An interactive room on the left side would allow them to experience the city's coastal scenery through 3D videos and motion technologies.
Further down the corridor leads to the main draw of the exhibition, an immense LED screen measuring 37.8 meters wide with a height of 7.3 meters. It advertises Zhanjiang's urban planning through a multisensory laser model show integrated with advanced acousto-optic technologies.

Officials from the Zhanjiang Urban Planning Bureau commented that they want the exhibition hall to offer even more of an interactively vivid experience for citizens, through the high tech multimedia medium.
Furthermore, Zhang Renhao, Party secretary of Zhanjiang, hoped that the layout of the exhibition could be further improved so that visitors would be able to connect with the city's roots even more, while getting a glimpse into the future.
The exhibition hall will strive to become a future landmark of the city, by taking into consideration the opinions of visitors and maintaining itself as a public platform for investors to peer into Zhanjiang's hopeful future.
