By Xu Lili Updated: 2015-10-14

A total of 150 calligraphy and painting works created by female Zhanjiang artists were on exhibition at Zhanjiang No 45 Art Museum on Oct 11, attracting more than 200 visitors.

The artworks blending the elements of engraving, calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting and oil painting fully reflect female artistic quality and their inner spiritual world.

"I deeply feel the happiness that art brings to us. This exhibition showcases female artists' spirits and feelings of self-respect, self-confidence, self-reliance and self-improvement," said Kuang Ying, one of the artists whose works were on exhibition.

The exhibition call for artists has attracted more than 400 submissions, out of which 150 were selected to take part in the exhibition.
