Zhanjiang won three medals, one gold, one silver and one bronze, on the first day of the rowing competition at the 14th Guangdong Provincial Games on July 14.

Athlete Guo Xueyin, 17, won the first gold medal for Zhanjiang team in women's single sculls. Liu Haiyang, 18, came second, winning a silver medal in men's 8-km single sculls. He also won a bronze medal in the men's team event together with teammates Lin Jianzhuang and Luo Zipeng.
