The ancient town of the Ming Dynasty in Sanhe

The Sanhe Ming Dynasty ancient town is located in Sanhe Hui Cheng. It was built in the 42th Years of Jiajing (1563) in the Ming Dynasty.

The town was built with bricks and stones. The city wall is 154 meters long and 4.5 meters high. It is 2.4 meters wide on the top and 3.3 meters wide at the bottom. There are four gates and 918 battlements on the wall. The gate in the east is called "Yong Qing Men". The one in the south is called "Xuan He Men". The one in the north is called "Gong Ji Men" and the one in the west called "Zhen Ning Men". At present, only the south gate, the west gate and about 300 meters of the wall relics are left. Since 2004, the Dabu county Communist Party Commission and Dabu county government has taken the renovation of the ancient town as one of the key projects for "Invigorating Dabu in a Humanly Manner". With a total investment of more than 2 million, they started to repair the south gate, the west gate and the walls that connect the two gates in the spirit of respecting history. The whole work should be completed in October 2005.
