Fengxi Provincial Forest Park

Fengxi Provincial Forest Park is a provincial nature reserve located in the north part of Dabu county within the northeast sector of East Guangdong. The park covers an area of 30.2 square kilometers and is 54 kilometers away from the Dabu County site, 123 kilometers away from Meizhou City, and 73 kilometers away from Longyan City. Thanks to its agreeable tropical marine-monsoon climate, the temperature of the area in winter is between 2°C and 10°C and between 24°C and 28°C in summer.

Boasting 97 percent forest cover, the park has a great variety of wild plants belonging to 745 species and 155 families. The plants are primarily evergreen broad-leaved forest. The park is also the home to more than 160 species of animals including rare animals. It has abundant natural attractions such as Fairy Maiden Pond, Female Shape Mountain, Layered Waterfall, Narrow Valley, Ancient Tree Fossils, Eagle Rock, Tortoise Rock, Lion Rock, the primeval secondary forest landscapes, and the bamboo wood leisure zone.
