According to Western Economic Daily, Guansu's Food and Drug Administration issued a notice on the implementation of food safety rectification targeting children's food, schools and their surrounding areas.

It requires different areas to use September and October this year as a key period of time, to take schools and areas within 200 m radius of schools as key areas, to take school canteens as well as food (grocery) stores, catering service units and children's food sellers which mainly sell food to students as key places, strengthen supervision, examination and law enforcement efforts, and deploy and conduct the sole rectification in a centralized manner.

Food and drug supervisory departments at different levels shall conduct door-to-door examination of food sellers in schools and their surrounding areas for law enforcement, comprehensively examining the licenses of food sellers, rigorously examining business conditions of food sellers, resolutely cracking down on food sellers without a license, straightening out food sellers who fail to meet criteria, standards and related requirements for food business, and give priority to the rectification of groceries, small shops (supermarkets), pantry shops as well as food and beverage vendors making breakfasts. Complaint and reporting channels shall be further smoothed by giving full play to the role of the '12331' complaints and reporting hotline, and rewarding whistleblowers.
