A seminar on Thailand-Fujian economic cooperation and investment opportunities was held Tuesday in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province.
Jointly organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General of Xiamen and the Guangzhou Office of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the seminar aimed to promote Thailand’s business environment and offer the province’s investors a clear picture of Thailand’s favorable policies.
Pachuen Phornmongkol, the Consul-General of Thailand in Xiamen, said despite the political turmoil in Thailand, the country had maintained its good business investment.
“There is no need to worry about Thailand’s social stability. The military government lifted a curfew nationwide on June 13 and the government has recently made a plan to facilitate foreign direct investment,” Phornmongkol said.
Affiliated with the Ministry of Industry (Thailand), the BOI is responsible for formulating favorable investment policies and providing a one-stop service for enterprises investing in Thailand.
