The 9th Cross-Straits Book Affair is set to take place at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, in Fujian province, Nov 25-28, according to press conference announcement, on April 18.
More than 650 publishers from the mainland and Taiwan will be invited, with the mainland offering books on literature, the arts, medicine, science, tourism, leisure, and history, while the Taiwanese will cover the sciences, management, the economy, and lifestyles.
The 35,000-square-meter exhibition area will have 1,000 booths available and be separated into several sections, including a digital publication area. Two other stalls, both 1,500 square meters, will be available for the districts of Jimei and Xiang’an in Xiamen, to project themselves.
The book fair has been held eight times, since 2005, in Xiamen and Taiwan, and has witnessed a total of 220 million yuan ($35.6 million) in book deals and sales.
