More than 700,000 yuan was invested to reconstruct the dormitories and equipment at Fuqing Yuxi Central Primary School. The children’s palace covering 2,300 square meters has been established.

The children’s palace is a five-storey building, the first and second floor is made up of an exhibition hall, bronze ware hall, wood craft hall, tea art hall, classics reading room and other ten arts exhibition halls. The third and fourth floors consists of scientific hall with a digital cinema, a campus TV station, a digital children’ s palace, a scientific laboratory, a model airplane ship, a vehicle room and a natural ecological hall. The fifth floor is an arts hall that includes a fine arts room, koto room, jazz drum room and a music dance room. There is also a hygiene health hall, psychological consulting hall and other supporting facilities.

The palace is open one hour after school, at noon and in the afternoon as well as Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. It is open to all the youths in the town at weekend.
