Abstract:Against the landscape of population aging and diversified needs of the elderly, smart and healthy products and services, known by swift, efficient and smart features, have the ability to handle difficult and hard issues beyond the traditional methods. As China has successively adopted a series of policies plans and supportive measures to standardize the development of the smart and healthy old-age care industry, this industry has achieved rapid development in recent years. However, the development of smart and healthy products for the aged still faces some problems. For instance, the application scope of smart technology for the elderly is still narrow; the service level remains to be improved; there is still much room for the improvement of the efficiency for the aged services; and large-scale, standardized production and commercial application still need time. In order to solve these problems in the development of smart and healthy old-age care industry, it is necessary to further enhance the principal role of enterprises as the entities of innovation while giving full play to the government's role to regulate and guide the development of the industry through relevant incentive and supportive measures.
