Research Report, Special Issue, No.120, 2019 (Total 1748)2019-11-28

Abstract: To address the prominent problems and urgent challenges for value realization of ecological products, we need to put into effect Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and follow the notion that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”. First, we need to further improve the ecological compensation mode for value realization of ecological products, including expanding the coverage of compensation, intensifying compensation enforcement, setting appropriate standards, strengthening cross-regional and cross-sector cooperation and enhancing legal guarantee arrangements. Second, we need to explore and improve market-oriented approaches to realizing the value of ecological products, focus on developing an ecological product market system and establish a market-oriented “ecological bank”. Third, we need to develop and flesh out the basic system for value realization of ecological products, including systems relating to natural resource asset property rights, value accounting and evaluation, compensation for the use of ecological products, green credit, green industry and green products. Fourth, we need to establish a sound supporting and guarantee system for value realization of ecological products, highlight relevant theoretical research, enhance policy support, improve the ecological monitoring and investigation system, increase capital input and enforce the cultivation of professionals.
