Report No 101, 2014 (Total 4600)

Summary:

Teacher ethics are a fundamental concern, but many problems have been appearing in primary and middle schools because of many reasons, attracting a great deal of attention recently. Revealing immoral behavior of a teacher is not easy to do because of the complexity of the situation, and dealing with teacher ethics can involve many problems and obstacles, such as a lack of supervision, improper evaluation methods, and teacher management. To make matters worse, there is the environment outside the school and educational development, social changes, and changing thought patterns.

China needs a policy system for the entire educational process, including moral standards, education guides, teacher management improvements, and institutional reform, based on professional characteristics and general laws, and with the whole of society involved. And teachers need a measure of self-discipline and need to teach in a scientific way, in accordance with education policies.
