MOJ head: need to improve quality and efficiency of office of justice

China’s minister of justice addressed a national working conference on the office of justice and emphasized improving its quality and efficiency on Sept 14.

The office of justice is a grassroots judicial administrative unit responsible for handling administrative work for the general public.

Fu Zhenghua said that it’s required to strengthen personnel training of the office of justice and work to improve capability of its staff.

It’s necessary to rationalize office occupancy and equipment and informatization construction, according to Fu.

Judicial services should pay more attention to people’s needs at the grassroots level, work to seek support from the Party Committee, government and relevant departments and solve difficulties arising from lack of personnel, property and resources.

Yin Li, governor of Sichuan province, said that they are working to promote the rule of law in governance and achieve fruitful results in solving disputes while maintaining social harmony and stability.
