People’s mediation work was discussed in a training course on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics held by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) on Aug 19.
The Vice-president of the MOJ gave a special report on people’s mediation work and discussed it with attendees.
He pointed out that it’s necessary to implement people-oriented development thinking and take an active part in the new social governance pattern where co-construction, shared governance and sharing are advocated and develop a joint working system composed of people’s mediation, administrative mediation and judicial mediation.
Liu also reviewed the development history of people’s mediation, emphasizing that it’s necessary to adapt to the new conditions and update people’s mediation work.
To make the system more precise, it’s required to further expand working areas, optimize mediation groups and improve working mechanisms, according to Liu.
Liu said that it’s also important to innovate mediation methods, implement policy guaranties and strengthen theoretical research.
