The China legal service website, which will provide official legal consultation, went online on May 20. China’s minister of Justice Fu Zhenghua addressed the launch ceremony.

Fu emphasized that it’s necessary to improve legal service capacity and levels to enable people to enjoy increasingly harmonious lives.

Fu pointed out that it was proposed in the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China that a public legal service system that covers both rural and urban residents should be constructed. Consequently legal service organizations and workers should speed up that construction to better meet people’s personal legal service requirements in many fields.

Fu also emphasized that the website’s official launch is an important reformative step in public legal system construction.

He mentioned as well the need to improve risk prediction and dispute prevention through bolstering data mining and analysis capability. The general public should be provided with reasonable and precise references for national management.

Smart construction should be considered an important support and modern technology should be explored and applied in legal construction and the public legal service field. Appropriate use of the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence will increase public benefit by making public legal service speedier and more precise, according to Fu.
