What is the significance of National Anthem of China?

National Anthem, as well as National Flag, National Emblem, is also national symbol. When ceremonies of grand assemblies, celebration and international communication are held, National Anthem is often played or sung to express patriotism.

National Anthem

Before formal establishment of National Anthem, "March of the Volunteers" was used as temporary national anthem.

In accordance to“On the Resolution of the Capital, the Annals, the National Anthem of PRC” passed on July 27, 1949

"People's Daily" made further illustration on establishment of "March of the volunteers" as National Anthem

"March of the volunteers" has historic significance.

"March of the volunteers" is applied as PRC National Anthem without modification in order to arouse the people back hardship and misery during motherland pioneering process, to inspire the people to carry forward patriotic enthusiasm against imperialist aggression and to carry revolution through to end.

National Anthem was written into Constitution.

The amendments to Constitution, 2004

PRC National Anthem is "March of the volunteers".
