“Golden Bear”, Baidu’s developer platform, recently finished its sixth road show.

Their entrepreneurship teams will receive free support and a resource package worth 1.2 million yuan ($188,640) which includes channels and market promotion. A total of one billion yuan ($157.2 million) was raised by 21 entrepreneurship teams in the road show.

Xiong Zhen, vice general manger of the mobile business group of Baidu; Fang Yimin, executive director of the investment and acquisition department of Baidu, Nan Lixin, CEO of Chuangyebang, a magazine on entrepreneurship, Lang Chunhui, partner of the Innovation Works, and Chen Yu, co-founder of ZUK were judges of the road show. Representatives from venture capital funds such as Sequoia Capital and IDG Capital also reviewed the applications.

In the panel discussion, the judges said that entrepreneurs should discover their industries, define their advantages, and learn to find resources and capital.

The professional industries and segmented markets are experiencing fiercer competition. This will become a major trend for the mobile Internet in the near future, according to Xiong. As the country’s largest application store for mobile phones, Baidu mobile assistant will continuously invest in developer ecology, Xiong said.

Fang said that with the launch of the company’s new services strategy, Baidu is trying to invest in professional industries and cooperate with ecological systems through small-scale investment and A Round entrepreneurship projects. In the big data industry, Baidu has cooperated with Uber China Company in map navigation and payment support.
