Film festival concert

Pinggu Music Festival
International stars including Avril Lavigne, Juliette Lewis, Editors, Little Boots and Chinese pop stars Paul Wong, Tiger Huang, Jerry Huang and F.I.R. will perform during Pinggu district's pop music season between April 30 and May 1.
Known for its production of violin and other string instruments, Pinggu district has put a lot effort into becoming China's "Music Valley" over the next 10 years.

Kids' music at Midi
The Ullens Center for Contemporary Art and Midi are teaming up with local artists Mint, Guo Lijun and Yuan Yuan to offer a series of specially designed children's art workshops and activities during the 2011 Midi Music Festival, including photography, experiencing nature, meeting star bands and gaming.

Strawberry Music Festival
The Strawberry Music Festival, organized by indie rock label Modern Sky, will simultaneously start in Beijing and Suzhou.

Drama: Wangfujing (Part I)
The grand drama Wangfujing (Part I), originally produced by NCPA, is being staged after more than two years of painstaking efforts.
The drama, featuring a grand panoramic view, showcases the century-long vicissitudes of Wangfujing, the country's No 1 commercial street. It vividly outlines the image and spirit of Beijing residents, and displays a rich and profound local feel.

Beijing Playhouse's comedy Love, Sex and the IRS needs eight actors.
The play has already had more than 10,000 productions in eight countries; now Beijing Playhouse makes its China debut. The performance will run from September 9-25.
Needed are three men, aged 18-35; two men, aged 35-70; two women, aged 18-35; one woman, aged 35-70.
