Model to co-host Her Village

China's Oprah, Yang Lan, has inducted model Li Ai as co-anchor of her talk show Her Village.

At a recent news conference in Beijing, Yang signed Li as an artist in her company Sun Media.

Yang is one of the most successful TV anchors in China. She became a household name in the 1990s after she co-hosted the smash hit Zheng Da Variety Show, with CCTV anchor Zhao Zhongxiang.

Yang's business interests now include newspapers, magazines, jewelry and digital media. Sun Media is now the nation's second largest privately owned media company.

Yang has interviewed more than 500 leading figures in industry and politics on her talk show Yang Lan One on One.
