A special train service that opened recently offers a convenient way to reach the Yuntai Mountain Geological Park in Jiaozuo of Henan province, from Beijing. Lying 70 km northwest of Zhengzhou, capital of Henan, in Xiuwu county, it covers 240 sq km in the Taihang mountain range.
It has Asia's biggest waterfall concerning the drop, cascading down a whopping 314 m, and its red stone valley stands out from among a dozen scenic spots.
Last year, the park saw 203,800 tourists from Beijing and to cater to this growing weekend favorite with Beijingers, the special train will run from July to October. It will start from Beijing on Friday evenings, returning on Monday mornings.
