Gambler goes from riches to rags after divorce

A former affluent man in Hefei, Anhui province, is now living like a vagrant after he gambled away his money, lost his two taxis and an apartment worth 1 million yuan.

Wang Liang, 43, became successful as a taxi driver after he graduated from a senior high school. But his addiction to gambling led to losses of 200,000 yuan ($29,400) and one taxi. His wife divorced him and took custody of their only daughter.

After the divorce, Wang became more involved in gambling. He was forced to sell his belongings.

He drives a taxi during the day and sleeps in Internet bars and public bathrooms at night.
