NANNING - Three people were killed and 13 injured Sunday after a bus overturned in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, police said.

The accident occurred at about 3 pm on a highway in Long'an county, killing three passengers at the scene, traffic police said in a statement.

The 13 injured have been sent to hospital, it said.

Local traffic police were investigating the cause of the accident.
