NANCHANG - Two inmates and two escorts aboard a police car died after it collided with a truck on an expressway in East China's Jiangxi province Thursday morning.

The collision occurred at 6:55 am on the Zhangshu-Ji'an Expressway in Jiangxi. Both of the vehicles are registered in Jiangxi, said traffic police.

An investigation into the accident is under way.
