Five managers jailed for embezzling state funds

Five high-ranking managers were imprisoned on charges of dividing state-owned assets of more than 43.19 million yuan in secret, the Nanfang Daily reported Monday.

The five, who were managers at Shenzhen Shatoujiao Import & Export Co, pocketed the public money while the company was undergoing state-owned enterprises reforms. They were sentenced to terms of one year and three months to three years, according to the level of crime.

The five didn't appeal after they were sentenced by the people's court of Yantian District Shenzhen, and all the illicit money should be recovered, according to the judge.
