Intangible Cultural Heritage Mart returns to the harborfront at Tsim Sha Tsui for the second year running. Hosted by Hong Kong Culture Festival, this two-day showcasing of Hong Kong's very own unique cultures through workshops, interactive activities and comprehensive displays was a huge hit with the locals and tourists alike, hence the revival.
For performance arts enthusiasts there is Cantonese opera and puppetry. Festive routines include fire-dragon dance, Hakka unicorn dance and dragon boat water parade. Those into martial arts would probably have something to check out at the Kung Fu Carnival section.
Local delicacies will be served at the party, including the treacly-sweet Hong Kong-style milk tea. Guided tours through an exhibition of the city's intangible cultural heritage will be on offer as well.
The organizers hope to conjure up good vibes and community spirit by reconnecting citizens with stories about mythical creatures which are a part of the local folklore.
