In celebration of the 100th birthday of the Chinese-American architect, Ieoh Ming Pei, Asia Society Hong Kong has invited architects who have worked with Pei to share their stories. Pei is famous for his "deconstructivism" - an architectural style made up of fragments, often incorporating rough industrial materials and unusual forms. The Louvre Pyramid in Paris, the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong and Suzhou Museum in Jiangsu province are among some of Pei's most spectacular designs.

Architect Lin Bing, who was involved in the Suzhou Museum building project, will talk about the design concept and how it was put into practice. Suzhou is Pei's hometown and he described the museum he designed for it as his autobiography. Lin will share rare photos, video footages of Pei in the process of designing the building. Another architect, Simon Hsu who started out at Pei's company, will share anecdotes from his interactions with Pei during the construction of Musee d'Art Moderne of Luxembourg.
