Nepal Communist Party delegation visits China

BEIJING: Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Monday met with the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist- Leninist)(CPN-UML) delegation, led by its chairman Jhala Nath Khanal.

The two sides exchanged views on their domestic situations and agreed both countries were at a new starting point for further development.

They agreed to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various areas, including that exchanges between political parties.

Wang thanked Nepal for its support to China on the Tibetan issue and other issues concerning China's core interests.

Khanal said the CPN-UML was glad to see the great achievements of China in building socialism with Chinese characteristics and wished to learn from the ruling experiences of the CPC.

Khanal reiterated Nepal's opposition to any force carrying out anti-China activities on Nepalese territory.
