The agreement will come into force this month and passengers can fly between Beijing and Sao Paulo with a single ticket and a single shipment.

The two companies will work under the scheme of code-share flights between Brazil and China, thus increasing their effective supply of seats.

TAM is the largest airline in Brazil. In the first half of this year, it accounted for 47.9 percent of the domestic market and 86 percent of passengers on international flights operated by Brazilian airlines, according to official figures.
