Restraining order filed against Michael Lohan

Michael Lohan's former fiancee has reportedly filed for a restraining order against him.

Kate Major has sought an order of protection against Michael, after the pair were allegedly involved in a violent showdown at their home in Southampton, New York, on Monday (19.07.10).

The former magazine reporter requested the order - which will prevent her ex-partner from contacting or going anywhere near her - after he kicked her in the face and shoved her during a heated argument.

According to gossip website TMZ, in Kate's complaint she says: "My fiance Michael Lohan came home while I was sleeping in a sofa chair. He woke me up, yelling, 'Why didn't you pick up your cell phone, you stupid ****.' "

"He then turned over the chair while I was still in it, tossing me to the floor. I crawled to the other side of the room to get away from him. He walked over to me, took his shoe off and kicked me in my face while I was still on the ground. He stood over me and said, 'I'm going to go back to jail because of you, because I will kill you.' "

Kate also claims she has hospital records and photographic evidence to back up her claims.

However, Michael, 50, has denied the accusations and has responded by stating he will release recordings detailing his former fiancee's "personal issues".

He said: "Because of Kate's behaviour and false claims, I am going to release a statement and only the first of many pictures of Kate obliterated, as well as the first of multiple recordings."

The couple are believed to have called off their engagement before Michael travelled to Los Angeles to support his daughter Lindsay in her legal proceedings.
