Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn at the French Open this year.
VINCE Vaughn says his apparent new girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, the
ex-Friends actress, is genuine and "down-to-earth" with a great sense of humour.
Vaughn, who arrived separately from Aniston for the London premiere today of
their new film, The Break-Up, signed autographs in Leicester Square and was
quick to say what attracted him to Aniston, the ex-wife of actor Brad Pitt.
The filming of the romantic comedy is reported to have brought the pair
together.
"She's the best," said Vaughn, 36. "Jennifer is the best. She's
the one we had in mind for the film the whole time. She's really good at comedy
and drama too."
Asked what he most liked about the star, he said: "What you see is what you
get. She's very genuine, honest and down-to-earth and it's important to have
that kind of likability in the film.''
When the actor was asked what it felt like to work and fall for Aniston, 37,
he replied: "She's a great actress. She's got a great sense of humour."
When asked if the pair were an "item," he said he declined to talk about his
personal life.
He said "smoking" made him look trim. "I quit for eight months but I'm back
to a pack a day although I don't recommend it as a dietary means."
In the film, Aniston and Vaughn play lovers whose long-term relationship
suddenly falls apart after a seemingly small argument.
The blonde actress, who made the movie as her own marriage to Brad Pitt came
to an end, has said filming The Break-Up was a cathartic experience.
The personal love life of Vaughn, Aniston and her ex-husband, who has just
become the father of a baby girl with Angelina Jolie, helped keep the movie in
the public eye.
