Mudslides wreck Yunnan town

云南泥石流致67人失踪

At least 67 people were missing and 7 others injured after mudslides slammed a remote town in Yunnan early Wednesday, Xinhua reported. Roads, power supplies and telecommunications were cut in the Puladi Township, in the Drung-Nu Autonomous County of Gongshan. The mudslides also destroyed a bridge and forced the water level in the Nujiang River to rise up to 6 meters.

据新华社报道，云南省怒江州贡山县普拉底乡18日凌晨发生泥石流灾害，目前已造成至少67人失踪，7人受伤，冲毁石拱桥1座，并造成道路、电力和通信全面中断。据介绍，灾害中泥石流堆积物导致怒江水位提高了6米左右。

The massive mudslide that hit Wenchuan, Sichuan, Saturday had killed 15 people and injured 9 others by Monday, said local authorities. More than 50,000 residents and tourists were forced to evacuate.

四川省阿坝州汶川县也遭受泥石流灾害，据当地政府部门17日通报，截止到16日，搜救队已搜寻到15具遇难者遗体和9名受伤群众，5万名居民和游客被紧急疏散。

#舟曲泥石流最新进展

The death toll from the landslide in Zhouqu, Gansu has risen to 1,270, with 474 others still missing. The Land and Resources Ministry has identified 70 potentially dangerous sites in the area and is closely monitoring them. The weather bureau says more rain is expected to strike the disaster zone over the next 4 days and will bring more mude to Zhouqu, creating more troubles for the rescuers.

甘肃舟曲特大山洪泥石流灾害目前已致1270人遇难，474人失踪。据国土资源部消息，舟曲县灾区还有隐患点70处，相关部门将对上述地区进行密切监控。据气象局预计，未来4天，灾区还将出现大到暴雨。雨水将使灾区更为泥泞，搜救清理工作将愈发困难。
