Ted Piccard of France and Daron Rahlves of the US crashed in mid-air at 80 km/h during the men's ski cross 8th final Sunday at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics in Canada. There were thrills and spills aplenty as ski cross was introduced at the Winter Games. Some described the sport as a blend between "NASCAR, motocross and bull riding". It was a surprise that no one was injured.
