据悉，我国已确诊第三例人禽流感病例，国家食品药品监督管理局正式批准我国自行研制的“人用禽流感疫苗”进入临床研究。科研单位将在北京寻找试验基地，并征集100名志愿者参与临床试验。
中国日报网站的消息中有这样一句话：As China reported its third case of human bird flu yesterday, the only company in the nation approved to test a vaccine for humans said thatclinical trialson volunteers would start in days.
“临床试验”是个医学术语，在英语中叫clinical trial，就是基于对患者直接观察而做的医学试验。Clinical 有“临床的”意思，比如，clinical diagnosis（临床诊断）；clinical medicine（临床医学）等。
Clinical 还可指“冷静的；客观的”，如，clinical judgement（客观的判断）。
