Pop diva Faye Wong will stage her solo concert in Beijing on August 28th.

Fresh from winning the Most Popular Female Artist Pan-Asia at the CCTV-MTV Music Awards at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center Stadium Saturday, she met the media at a news conference on Monday.

Beijing where Wong was born is the 5th leg of her Asian tour this year.

The tickets cost from 100 to 1,000 yuan. The box office take has exceeded 4 million yuan, or about 480,000 US dollars, during the six days since it opened.

At the end of the press conference, a group of fans dressed in the singer's classic styles, which Faye Wong has used in previous performances, turned up to wish her a successful concert.
