State leaders visit 7th Expo

On May 24, the third day of the China Beijing International High-Tech Expo, Jia Qinglin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CCCPC and Chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference, visited the expo's main exhibition hall.State leaders visit 7th Expo

Jia came to the China International Exhibition Center to peruse the latest high-tech achievements and products on display by domestic and overseas companies. He said he was impressed with over the 10 industry exhibition sectors and over 20 provincial and city booths.

At the Jingdongfang Science and Tech Group booth, Jia admired its newest generation of display screens and digital products. He encouraged the group to conduct more innovations and create a new high-tech brand.

Capital Steel Company's robots won Jia's attention, who praised the company's innovational spirit.

Jia also visited the auto sector where Beijing Jeep Company displayed various SUVs (sport utility vehicles), tracks and the latest Benz E240.

Joining Jia were Liu Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CCCPC and secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee; He Yong, member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and minister of Supervision; Chen Zhili, State councilor; Xiao Yang, president of the Supreme People's Court; and Hao Jianxiu and Abulaiti·Abudurexiti, who are both the vice-chairwomen of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The three-day exhibition has enjoyed over 160,000 visitors. The expo will continue for two more days before it closes.
