Peacocks display feathers in hot weather

A peacock displays its beautiful feathers, not as a way to woo a
mating partner but to cool itself down under the scorching sun in the
Shahu peacock garden in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region June 20, 2005.
In the past days, temperature hovered between 36 degrees centigrade
to 38 degrees centigrade, and the peacocks chose to display their feathers
as a way to coool themselves down in the hot weather.
