Chinese-made trucks become best-selling in The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) as these vehicles are inexpensive, efficient, have easy access to purchasing parts, and are easy to maintain and repair, according to local customs office in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin Province.

In the first eight months this year, the DPRK imported 31 trucks, with a total value of US$48,580 from China, via two land ports in the province.

Most of the these trucks are of "Jiefang" and "Dongfeng" brands, manufactured by Chinese automotive factories. They are mostly small diesel trucks with a capacity of 5 tons or less.
