Rodman gets a look from NBA Nuggets

Dennis Rodman, the controversial 43-year-old forward who helped Chicago and Detroit to National Basketball Association titles, took part in a training session with the NBA Denver Nuggets.

Rodman, known for his wild-dyed hair and tattoos and body piercings, has been invited to the club's training camp, which opens Tuesday, in a bid to make an NBA comeback.

"I think I'll be back here," Rodman told the Denver Post. "I think they freaked out. They couldn't believe I am 43 years old."

Rodman, a seven-time NBA rebounding champion, spoke with general manager Kiki Vanderweghe and coach Jeff Bzdelik and figures if he cannot play for the Nuggets he will find another home in the NBA.

"If I come to camp and Denver decides not to pick me up, I'm sure another team will," Rodman said.

Rodman played 14 NBA seasons with Detroit, San Antonio, Chicago, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas.

He has not played since 12 matches with Dallas in the 1999-2000 season, although he played briefly this year with a minor-league team, the Long Beach Jam.
