Liu and Yao are both Shanghai natives. Liu Xiang equalled the world record
of 12.91 seconds and won the men's 110m hurdles gold medal. China's
Olympic athletes won a record 32 gold medals in Athens. Beijing will host
the next summer Olympics in 2008.
