Li Yijiang cut off the penises of his victims aged between 20 and 30 after killing them, the Beijing Youth Daily said yesterday.

The murders occurred in 2002 and 2003.

Li, who was executed on Friday, was accepted to a Beijing university in 1999 after passing the entrance exam with flying colors, but became addicted to a pornographic Website and eventually dropped out.

Four of his victims, who he met on the "Violet Boy" Website, had plied him with alcohol and raped him.

Li later lured them out one by one and took his gruesome revenge.

According to the Youth Daily, Li came from a violent home, where his father often beat up his mentally-ill mother.
