China win 12th gold at Athens

China grabbed its 12th gold medal in the Athens Olympics when Zhang Ning of China beat Mia Audina of Netherlands 2-1 in the women's badminton singles final Thursday.

Zhang won the match 8-11,11-6,11-7.

Earlier, Zhou Mi, also from China, defeat teammate Gong Ruina 11-2, 8-11, 11-8 to get the bronze medal.
