Juergen Klinsmann has agreed to a two-year contract as Germany national team coach until the 2006 home World Cup, the ruling body DFB said on Monday.

Klinsmann, 39, succeeds Rudi Voeller who resigned on June 24.

DFB spokesman Harald Stenger said that Klinsmann and the DFB had completed the financial part of the agreement and that "the remaining talks were only about sports details".

Klinsmann, winner of 108 caps, was on the German sides that won the 1990 World Cup and Euro 1996.
