DPRK, US delegation arrive for six-party talks

The DPRK delegation for the working group's second meeting of the six-party talks on the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsular arrived in Beijing Saturday morning, sources said.

The other delegations to the meeting will arrive in Beijing later Saturday or on Sunday respectively, according to the sources.

The working group's meeting will be held in Beijing from June 21 to June 22.

After the meeting, the third round of six-party talks, involving China, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), theUnited States, Republic of Korea (ROK), Russia and Japan, will begin as of June 23 in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhang Qiyue recently called for a "reasonable expectation" on the third round of six-party talks, noting that as the talks deepened on substantial issues, differences and difficulties increased.

The US delegation for the working group's second meeting of the six-party talks on the nuclear issue in the Korean Peninsular arrived in Beijing Saturday afternoon.

The working group's meeting will be held in Beijing from June 21 to June 22. The DPRK delegation arrived here Saturday morning. The delegations of the ROK, Russia and Japan are expected to be here Sunday.

All parties concerned refused to release the timetable so far.
