Wang Hao wins Athens ticket at qualifiers

Chinese table tennis player Wang Hao has paddled his way to the Athens Olympic Games after three group wins at the Asian qualifying tournament.

The world's number three-ranked player was selected to compete in the qualifier tournament, overshadowing Sydney Olympic champion Kong Linghui

Top two-ranked Ma Lin and Wang Liqin have already booked their Olympic tickets.

Three Japanese players also made it through to Athens at the qualifying tournament.

23 players are competing for seven Olympic berths in men singles at the five-day Asian qualifying tournament.
